I certainly would enjoy a longer lifespan. That way I wouldn't feel as if I'm wasting the short time I have here. I'm 34 years old, and still trying to get a feel for this thing we call existence. Plus, it would be really cool to get to experience lots of different fields of study and examination. I'm enjoying your show, and kudos on a very interesting topic.

Given the money to support a decent life style then I wouldn't turn down a few extra years with good health.
I've always been a scifi fan so delighted to have seen the first shuttle launch, the advent of incredible multimedia resources and everything that came with the microchip. However I don't expect to see the firt man on mars, the advent of practical commercial space flight or world peace, born to late or won't live long enough. Of course that is assuming the future is rosey and well
that is even money at the mo!
Nice tunes.

Great podacast! My favorite one yet. Keep in mind for immortality to come within reach, we dont need a solution to aging, disease, and all the rest in our natural human lifespan. All we need to do is reach what Kurzweil calls "actuarial escape velocity". This is the point where each year, life extension advances add at least on year to the average human lifespan. At that point, we beat the system and effectivly live forever.
Give "engineered negligible senescence" a google. This is very exciting and promising field.
Kudos!
